Finn Lefevre (they/them pronouns)
I am a theatre artist and educator currently serving as a lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Department of Theater. I have an MFA in Dramaturgy and a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Feminist Studies from UMass- Amherst. Before grad school, I spent three years developing a small non-profit organization focused on the wellness of transgender individuals through peer support groups, public education, and workshops. While in grad school, I combined my interests of social justice and applied theatre, developing and facilitating a trans applied theatre troupe for three years, using techniques such as Theatre of the Oppressed, Playback Theatre, and Undesirable Elements. In addition to applied theatre work, I have also worked as a script reader, a production dramaturg, and as a teacher--most recently teaching courses such as Contemporary Playwrights of Color, Play Analysis for Production, and Queering Performance. |
